Pricing and availability for private lessons, semi-private lessons, and Kids’ Surf Club at Montauk Yacht Club are available on the booking page. Summer weekends fill quickly — early reservation is recommended.
No prior surfing experience is needed. Lessons are available for all experience levels, from first-time surfers to more experienced riders looking to refine their skills. JOB instructors tailor each session to the participant’s pace and comfort level in the water.
Guests check in at the JOB Surf Experience desk at the Montauk Yacht Club Experience Center at 32 Star Island Road. From there, instructors and a complimentary shuttle take guests directly to Terrace Beach or another local break for their session.
Private and semi-private lessons at Montauk Yacht Club are open to all ages. Group surf lessons are available for guests aged 12 and up. Kids’ Surf Camp at Terrace Beach is designed for children ages 6–13.
All equipment is provided — surfboard, leash, rash guard, and wetsuit. Guests also receive a complimentary shuttle between Montauk Yacht Club and Terrace Beach. All you need to bring is a swimsuit and sunscreen.
The JOB Surf Experience at Montauk Yacht Club runs May through October, with lessons and group surf available throughout the season.
Private and semi-private lessons are 90 minutes. Kids’ Surf Camp sessions run 3 hours.
Surf Camp at Terrace Beach is designed for children ages 6–13 of all ability levels. Running Monday through Friday from late June through late August, the camp is offered in partnership with East End Surf Club — one of the East End’s most respected surf programs, founded by lifelong Montauk watermen. Enrollment is limited and fills quickly.
Yes. All JOB Surf Experience instructors are CPR and first aid certified, with extensive in-water teaching experience. Safety is the foundation of every session.
