Pricing and availability for private lessons and semi-private lessons at Montauk Yacht Club are available on the booking page. Summer weekends fill quickly — early reservation is recommended.
No prior surfing experience is needed. Lessons are available for all experience levels, from first-time surfers to more experienced riders looking to refine their skills. Lessons are tailored to the participant’s pace and comfort level in the water.
Guests check in at the JOB Surf Experience desk at the Montauk Yacht Club Experience Center at 32 Star Island Road. From there, instructors and a complimentary shuttle take guests directly to the Beach for their session.
Private and semi-private lessons at Montauk Yacht Club are open to all ages. Group surf lessons are available for guests aged 12 and up.
All equipment is provided — surfboard, leash, rash guard, and wetsuit. Guests also receive a complimentary shuttle to the beach. All you need to bring is a swimsuit and sunscreen.
Surf season at Montauk Yacht Club runs May through October, with lessons and group surf available throughout the season.
Yes. All JOB Surf Experience instructors are CPR and first aid certified, with extensive in-water teaching experience. Safety is the foundation of every session.
